Changes for NSHL9

Hi All, I have analysed the feedback received regarding the issues concerning line-ups and lines, and have decided to establish the following guidelines, based on your input: 1. Double shifting is acceptable on special teams only (PP and PK). Even strength lines must contain 15 different players. (Per a vote, this rule will not be implemented.) 2. Triple shifting is not acceptable on any lines. 3. Players cannot be dressed in the line-up at a position other than their designated position. A player's designated position cannot be changed once a season begins, and it must be demonstrated that the player has sufficient pro experience at the requested position. 4. Forwards can play any forward position on any line, and can play defence on special teams only (PP and PK). 5. Defensemen can only play on defence on even strength lines, but may play any forward position on special teams (PP and PK). I don't expect anyone to scan everyone's lines every single day to look for violations, but I also expect everyone to follow the rules!!! I also realize that there will be mistakes in your lines. I rarely go a game day without some sort of invalid lines now, without any extra restrictions, so it would be a miracle if somehow everybody figured out how to do it right at this point :-) So, at first I'd just like to see how it goes. I will check randomly, and I trust some of you will be checking quite diligently :-) If you find something funny, just let me know. At some point we'll have to establish penalties I suppose, but for now I think we should be able to trust each other, and try to follow the new rules. I also understand that it isn't normally a very good idea to establish something like this in the middle of a season. I get the feeling, however, that the people who have any interest in this issue want an immediate solution. I am not against waiting for NSHL10, but I will only postpone instituting this if there is an overwhelming outcry to delay it. So, I'm going to say that this will go into effect in a week, barring that overwhelming outcry. This will give a little bit of time to make minor adjustments if needed. If you want to change a player's designated position, please let me know right away. Once this is in place, I won't be able to switch a player's position until the next season.
