Draft Day Procedure

The draft is held "live" on IRC, Efnet channel #nshl. It is strongly recommended that you send me a priority list, whether you plan on being there in person or not.
Both rounds of the draft will take place on the same day. The same rules will apply, regarding bumping. Here is the order of events, once your team is "at the podium"... 1. If you are online, on IRC, you get 5 minutes to make the pick. I'm usually pretty lenient about this one. 2. If you aren't online, I look for a list. If I have one, then I announce the pick right away. If I don't have a list, I wait 5 minutes, look again, and if a list still hasn't appeared in my inbox, or you haven't appeared in #nshl, then I get on my heavy black bumping boot, and hoof you to the end of the round. 3. At the end of the round, I will make the picks for any bumped teams. I basically go by the highest overall rating, but I would really really like to have a draft where I don't have to make ANY decisions (hint, hint) 4. Everybody gushes over how they had their guy "rated number one". Good luck! |
