|
9 -highest, 0 -lowest
|
H | Stands for handedness, lefty or righty
| |
Ps | Postion, Center, Left Wing, Right Wing, Defense, Goalie
| |
Ag | Aggression, how hard a player forechecks, how much he hits, how much
he fights and goes into traffic.
| |
Qk | Quickness, basically how fast he is on skates in a straight line
| |
Pw | Power, how big a player is, but how big he plays should be considered
| |
Fa | Fatigue, how quickly he tires.
| |
In | Injury, how resistant a player is to injuries
| |
Pn | Penalty, how many penalties a player tends to take ( the higher it
is, the fewer penalties he takes)
| |
Sk | Skating, basically a player's skill on skates, how well he turns,
how quick he accelates, how tight he turns, how fast he stops, how agile
he is.
| |
Pa | Passing, how well a player passes and makes plays. Gretzky is a
good example of a 9 here. Also think about how likely he is to pass as
opposed to shoot.
| |
PC | Puck Control, how good a guy is at stick handling. A 9 here would be
Jaromir Jagr.
| |
Ck | Checking, basically how well and how willing a player is to
back-check (i.e. how good he his defensive-zone coverage is, how good he
is at blocking shots, does he give the puck away, etc.)
| |
Sh | Shooting, how hard, accurate, and quick(release) a guy's shot is.
Also give consideration to goal scoring ability.
|
Also, the ratings are slightly different for goalies:
|
Ag | Aggression, how likely the goalie is to come out of the crease, to
take away angles, or to play the puck.
| |
Qk | Here it is more like how quickly the goalie moves around in his net.
| |
Pw | pretty much the same as forwards, but maybe a higher power goalie is
bigger (and therefore covers more net standing)
| |
Fa | same as above
| |
In | same as above
| |
Pn | same as above
| |
Sk | how good a goalie is at moving around in his net.
| |
Pa | passing, how good a goalie is at passing. a 9 would be Barrasso or
Hextall
| |
PC | Puck control how well the goalie controls rebounds, etc.
|
Also, some of the ratings may be based on tendancies, and not actual skill. For example, Ulf Samuelsson won the Penguins skills competition for hardest slap shop with a 96.5 MPH blast, but that hardly qualifies him for a 9 in shooting, because he doesn't shoot all that much, and he
is not a goal scorer in any sense of the word.
